I ordered Verizon 5G internet and was eligible for a $200 gift card promotion, If I kept my service for more than 90 days.
Then I applied for the $200 gift card and received it over email. However, I never used it, because I would have to pay it back, if I didn't keep my service for 90 days.
After that, I changed my mind and cancelled the service. Of course Verizon charge me for that $200 gift card. I went back to my email and used the same gift card to pay for the $200 charge. The month after, Verizon charged me again for $200. This time I called the billing department and asked what the charge was for? They said it was for the invalid gift card of $200, that I have used. Then I asked, why was I charged $200 on the previous bill, if I couldn't use that gift card? Obviously, the agent seemed not to understand the situation and still wanted to charge me $200.
Now, the question is. Do I have to go back to school and learn math, or is there really something wrong with the billing department?
