I got 5G Home Internet in late July and have had issues with a dynamic IP Address outside of my state which causes playback issues with my YouTube TV account. I contacted customer service and was told that Verizon couldn't do anything about this problem.
However, my brother in law has T-Mobile Home Internet and they were having the same issue but after enough customers complained they were able to resolve the problem.
So let me get this straight. T-Mobile was able to correct the issue but Verizon can't? Sounds to me like Verizon doesn't want to correct this problem.
I'm not paying $50 a month for so-so service with local channels that don't match my home area. Verizon needs to stop making excuses and get this resolved or I'll be getting rid of this service.

We definitely want you to be able to have access to your local channels when using your 5g Home Service. Here are instructions to get this fixed:
1. From a mobile device using cellular data/Wi-Fi off, access the YouTube TV App (sign in if
required)
2. Click on the profile icon (upper right corner)
3. Select location option on the menu
4. Select Update on the Current Playback Area option
5. Give permission for the app to use location information
6. If not successful, visit tv.youtube.com/help and select the Contact Us option at the bottom
of the page.
Having had this experience myself with Hulu Live TV, I was able to resolve the issue. ~Peter

Thanks but that is not the solution. The IP Address is in another state, meaning if I log into YouTube the current playback area does not match my home area, which is causing the issue.
It's not a YouTube problem, this is a Verizon problem. They know about this issue and aren't doing anything about it. If T-Mobile can solve the problem then so can Verizon.

YouTube and Hulu are sensitive to location, like you said to get your local channels on cellular data. I too have used my YouTube TV at multiple locations, at home on wi-fi and then when traveling on cellular connection. With the 5G Home, this is a cellular connection so the previous instructions are correct to update the wireless connection/location. Have you had a chance to log out and log back in?

This actually worked for me. It reads the location from your cellular data, not the IP address from the router. Issue, yes. But this did work for me. The key was to turn off WiFi and then Update the location.
1. From a mobile device using cellular data/Wi-Fi off, access the YouTube TV App (sign in if
required)
2. Click on the profile icon (upper right corner)
3. Select location option on the menu
4. Select Update on the Current Playback Area option
5. Give permission for the app to use location information

How do you fix the ip address issue? I have Hulu and just switched to the wireless 5g and keep getting kicked off saying I switched my home location. Itโs a pain because each time I have to call Hulu so they can reset my ip address. Happened 3 times alone last week. Whatโs the resolution? Seriously thinking of going back to my previous carrier! Uughhh!

I have the same problem with IP addresses. After many hours on the phone the technician said the solution was to get the other providers to make my ip for youtube tv, and hulu and apple static. Don't think so. They admitted the problem but clearly this product is not ready for market.

I've had the same problem here, and I'm not using youtube. I'm developing a program that needs to get location data, and it's always worked here and at other locations, and now it doesn't work with the 5G home wireless router. I don't want a solution that changes something else. I want my router to identify my location. Yesterday it had me about 3000 miles away. Today, it's identified an area almost 150 miles away. How do I get the IP address to identify my location?

Thank you for these details. The ISP, 5G Home in this case, routes to a central location just like your cell phone does. The result is that your internet traffic will appear to be coming from the location of the ISP's exit point, which can be a different city from where you currently are located at. We recommend reaching out to Hulu Support to review your home location options.

As everyone has stated this is a you issues not a YouTube TV or Hulu or us. You offer a static IP for a business account but for $500 and triple the monthly. Why not for personal accounts? T-Mobile listened to their customers and fixed there's why won't Verizon?

I have the same issue with YouTube TV. I pay extra for the unlimited streams on my home network. Having an IP address that is not static keeps kicking me off the home network. YouTube tv only allows you to change this 3 times a month. Verizon really needs to figure this out.
i do not have issues with local channels, just my home network changing for streaming limits.
