The problem is 5G internet fails to download PS5 games and ROKU does not work on some streaming services.
Here are the details:
- All connections are wired (no WiFi)
- Load balancing router is used (tp-link ER7206 v1.0) to switch between two ISP’s (ATT and Verizon)
- LAN side of router is connected to a PS5, multiple ROKU ultras, and multiple PC’s. (again, no WiFi)
- With ATT selected as the WAN, everything works just fine.
- Switching to Verison 5G as the WAN and multiple things no longer work
Problems include:
- PS5 games will not download. The download starts, but randomly fails at some point in time.
- ROKU works on youtube and MAX, but fails on Pirme video and Disney.
- Don't see any problems on PC’s
So the onely thing that changes is a UI setting on the router that switches between ATT and Verizon WAN’s
