My ARC-XCI55AX is blocking my Bambu Labs 3D printer and my GE Washing machine from contacting their cloud-base websites, making the cloud features on these devices unusable. What is the problem? Prior to switching to Verizon I had no issues, and if I switch my router's WAN connection from the ARC-XCI55AX to my AT&T hotspot, they instantly start working again.
Note that my ARC-XCI55AX is on firmware version 3.2.0.7, but there is an update to 3.4.0.10 released on 11/4/2024. However, I cannot find a way to get my ARC-XCI55AX to update to this firmware version. Please help!

My issue has been resolved. After countless contacts with Verizon, they decided to send out a tech to replace my modem since it wasn't updating itself. However, instead of replacing it with the same model, the tech replaced it with a ASK-NCM1100 running firmware version 3.3.0.16. Upon configuring as passthru mode, surprisingly all my IoT device could connect to the Internet! So if you have this problem, perhaps try to get this same modem.

I am having the same problem. I just got a new printer and have tried everything to get it to work and keep finding a common issue which is Verizon home internet. I really don’t want to change providers for this but seriously frustrating.

We want to make sure that our device is working properly, is your home internet able to connect to other devices?

Same issue. Bambu, Blink Cams, Ecoflow Power units... basically anything that requires access to a 3rd party server. It would be nice if they would advise as to when update might be released. Also, their approach forces you to use their router security instead of the security I had purchased. They are very much aware of this issue,

Mooseark3, I'm so sorry that you're still experiencing this issue. Are you able to try the following steps in order to check for Software Updates on your 5G Home router?
1. Sign in to the Admin page.
(Note: You must be connected to the 5G Home network to access the admin page.)
2. From the Router Home screen, click System Settings.
3. From the General Information screen, click Check for Software Update.
(Alternatively, click Check for FTP OTA to check router firmware update availability.)
Please let us know if these steps help!

Thank you for the reply. I signed into Admin page and see System settings. I do not see a General Information screen and have not seen a check for update option in any menus I have checked. Can you be more specific?

Customer support people have told this to me countless times, but it is very well known that a firmware update cannot be manually started with the ARC-XCI55AX . I wish we could get support from somebody who knows something about the ARC-XCI55AX.

Verizon reached out via private messages on 12/29 and we've been going back and forth ever since. Nobody at Verizon seems to have any idea how to update the firmware on these modems since they don't offer a way to do it through the web browser interface.

Hi mooseark3, apologise for the trouble your having getting your gateway to update the firmware. In my experience with firmware not updating through the steps Necia mentioned, a manual factory reset of the equipment will often force the firmware update. Here's a link to our website for troubleshooting: https://www.verizon.com/support/verizon-internet-gateway-arc-xci55ax/
From there, the option View your User Guide (PDF) will walk you through how to do a manual factory reset.
If you continue having troubles, let us know and we will reach out to you in private to further assist.
