ASK 1100 gateway

HELLOEARTH2
Newbie

We have a home network, we share files and we share printers.   I need to know if the ADMIN IP address for this verizon gateway ASK 1100 can be changed.      If there are devices on my lan that also have the admin IP that is the same 192.168.1.1  then things are not going to be compatible, like the wifi extenders  that have a admin ID.  When some things are reset they revert back to this one IP address.  if this is the case then I wont be able to access those reset devices because the admin ID for the gateway can not be changed from that.  Can the Admin Ip address on the Verizon gateway be changed ?

The ASK1100 is able to have it's LAN address changed. Start at Page 96 (Section 5.1h) in the User Guide for details on how to change the IP of the router: https://www.verizon.com/business/content/dam/resources/userguides/2024/verizon-internet-gateway-for-...

it is also  to place routers at the other end of the subnet (e.g., 192.168.1.254). Technically, the IP address can be anything reachable within a subnet (e.g., 192.168.1.1-192.168.1.254), so 192.168.1.150 is as valid as .1 or .254.

Helloearth2, we know how important it is to be able to manage your home network.  May I ask if this is for FIOS or 5G Home Internet?  -Dee

I have the other ASK -

But I can go to Network Settings  Network Connections  Network (Home/Office) and change the IP address.

But I think you are trying to patch symptoms. Only routers/gateways should have an address that ends in .1 . Your printers should not be using an address like that.
