We have been using our Costco shopping app for quite some time, both via wifi and cell service provider (CSP). Today, via Verizon wifi, we cannot get into our Costco account via the app or using a laptop browser. When I turned off wifi and attempted to get into our Costco account, I could without any issues, both on my cell app and my laptop browser (using cell hotspotting).
Completely rebooted the Verizon system- pulled the power from the router, disconnected the coaxial cable, pulled the plug on the "adapter" thing, reconnected and replugged everything, waited a good 10 minutes, and no change. Strong wifi signal but can't login to certain apps. What the heck??
Did Verizon push a software update to my router that messed it up? This looks like a possibility, but suggests Verizon isn't testing their updates if those updates are messing up service. That's really bad business for an internet service provider- what security aspects weren't tested in the corners that appear to be cut??
Very concerned.
