Charged for 5g internet never used or activated

Placed an order for 5G home internet but found out my area was no longer being serviced. I then never activated the service, never used the internet, and returned the modem, all well within the 30-day window. Despite following the process exactly as instructed, I’ve now been charged.

I was under the impression there was a satisfaction guarantee and that if I canceled within 30 days, I wouldn't be charged.  I’ve tried reaching out to customer service but keep getting bounced around with no real explanation. I’d really appreciate some clarity on this and, more importantly, a refund for a service I clearly didn’t use. This experience is frustrating and makes me hesitant to consider any future services from Verizon.

Is anyone else dealing with something similar or have an explanation? Any advice on the next steps?
