Did you see a substantial speed decrease in the past week?

I have had Verizon service on my phone and 5G home plus  internet since last December. I originally had decent phone and home internet speeds with the phone getting 300 Mbps down and home internet around 200 Mbps down. Then over the summer they updated my tower to provide n77. Phone speeds jumped to 800 Mbps to 1.5 Gbps and for months I've always received 300 Mbps + or - 10 Mbps on the 5G home gateway. I also live 750 feet away from my main tower and in line of sight.

In the last week. Literally overnight, my home internet speeds dropped to 40 to 150 Mbps and my phone to 80 Mbps to 500 Mbps. I know for most people those speeds are enough, but that's not the point.

I noticed that numerous times of the day my devices won't connect to the n77 band and connect instead to n66 which has a lower bandwidth. Verizon says the tower is working fine.

I understand that congestion and prioritization can occur, but it's like overnight 100 new home internet boxes were activated. My phone is on an older plan without deprioritization regardless of data used. The issues mostly occur at night when congestion may be a factor, but again, never a factor before this past week. This was not a gradual decrease in speeds over time.

Anyone else experiencing these issues? I'm not a fan of the response from Verizon that these numbers are within guidelines. Something major has to have happened for this drop to occur. And if not the tower, then Verizon changed some metric on my tower to lower the speeds. I can't see how it could be anything else.
