Multiple times a week your door to door people come to my door, ignore the no soliciting sign, ring the bell, often wake me. Make it stop. I'll never use your service because of it and am considering changing wireless providers now too.

Same situation here. Asked him to leave, said I don't accept solicitors. He said he wasn't a solicitor, but was a 'Branch Manager'. I said, "If you're not a soliciter, then what do you want?" His response was "No, I'm not going to pitch to you now". I asked him to leave the property, and he did, slowly, telling me that he "Hopes my Day gets better".
This behavior is not a good way to get anyone to sign up for anything, and I fear it will have the opposite effect.

I’m trying to find out where to register a complaint about a solicitor, so hopefully this works. I was out walking my dogs in my neighborhood when one of the door to door solicitors (I have his name, but though he didn’t respect my privacy, I will respect his by not posting it here) started walking with me trying to make his pitch. I told him I was not interested, especially while out on a walk, but he followed me for almost two blocks. This was incredibly creepy and uncomfortable, and I seriously did not appreciate it. Even if I was in the market for new internet service (I’m not, and told him so), I will intentionally not go with Verizon because of this.

Yesterday two people with Verizon logos on their shirts knocked on my door, despite having no soliciting signs. I work from home and was on a work call. My dogs went nuts. I politely told them I was on a work call while straining to hold my dogs back. They showed up again today. My husband just told them we were busy. I'm tempted to put a sign up directed st them to not knock.

This just happened to me as well, and it happens multiple times A MONTH. This time, it was two men back to back AFTER 8pm. First of all, my apartment complex has a clear “No Soliciting” sign posted. When I told one of the men that, he claims they “have a contract to knock” at this complex (will be checking with my leasing office tomorrow, because that honestly sounds like a lie). Furthermore, the first man who came to my apartment rang my bell, then immediately knocked with SUCH URGENCY that I thought one of my neighbors had an emergency. My dog was freaked out, barking the whole time too (as were all the other dogs in the building). The man also was not wearing ANY Verizon branding - he was in a black STAINED t-shirt. No name tag. No lanyard with identification. Nothing. I live in a major city where I regularly see community posts about property break-ins and people approaching women alone. As a woman who lives alone - having a man in messy clothes pound at my door at 8pm, in the dark, is EXTREMELY unsettling. I told the second person who came by to remove me from their list - which I’ve asked before. I already have Verizon cell service, and I have for more than a decade, but this is honestly making me want to switch to a different company altogether. Absolutely horrible.

I've never had experience with Verizon door-to-door solicitors. However, I have from multiple other ISPs in the area, and I receive their mailed advertising multiple times at least once per week (despite requesting (in writing) that they stop marketing to my address. I have also had experience with an overwhelming volume of door-to-door solicitors for roofing companies.
How do you stop these folks that won't act responsibly or even with common courtesy? First, leave the "No Solicitors" sign up. Next, check with your municipal regulations if you're living in a city in the United States. Many cities require a permit to solicit door-to-door (often referred to as a "Peddler's Permit"). If you live in such a city and the solicitors are in violation, then contact your city government for assistance.
I was shocked by how many companies I've been able to get to avoid my entire neighborhood by simply reporting their lack of a permit to my city clerks office. Nothing more than a few emails back and forth on my end, and a helpful person in the city clerks office.
Unfortunately, most of the folks out and about knocking on doors believe they are just doing their job...regardless if they're doing it ethically or legally.
