June 2023 Home Internet Promotion Issue

In June of 2023 I saw that Verizon was giving a promotion for their home internet  for $25 per month for 2 years with a gift card, or $35 per month for a gift card + a free sound bar or Walmart + plus a lesser quality sound bar.  

I signed up for the $35 for three years, but the employee told me I couldn't choose which items to receive until after a waiting period to ensure I did not drop the service.  They stated I would be notified when I could choose.  

Well, I checked my email and "MY VERIZON" monthly after that, and never received any notification.

So, In December 2023, I finally contacted "Support" (HAHAHAHAHA).  They said (and closed the case)

I'm tired of VERIZON, they never put their "contracts" in writing.  This is the SECOND TIME I have been screwed by them.

It doesn't capture both options for the $35 for three years plan.  I will keep digging though!

They always state the phone call may be recorded, I wonder if that one was?

Does anyone else have experience with them saying one thing, promoting one thing, and not following through with their commitments?

No, I never received confirmation of the promotion, in order to submit for it.

I was told when I signed up, I would receive a notification.  I checked my notifications and emails monthly, and never received anything.

The deal was:

"For a limited time, you can get Verizon 5G Home Plus Internet for $35/month.  Plus, you'll get a $100 Verizon gift card and your choice of either a free $200 Home Depot gift card or Verizon Stream TV Soundbar ($399 value). Alternatively, you can opt to get $400 off of Verizon Stream TV Soundbar Pro (normally $999)"

I never received the notification I was promised.  

Not a very good way to treat someone that has had Verizon Phone Service for longer than I can remember!!!

Reading the community, it seems like a common practice of Verizon.

I was told when I first switched to this company Verizon from Xfinity to fill out two things one for snap Ebt benefits and one for For ๐Ÿ’Š gift card for $200 and I filled out the promotion for the snack. Food stamp Ebt I was approved but now I donโ€™t see The discount it was supposed to be the first six months free and also I donโ€™t see where filled out for the promotion for the for the gift card

Yes. I just signed up in April. The agent told me I had to sign up for the 5G plus because I would receive a $200.00 gift card.

When I called about a problem I asked how many months before they send gift card and she said it's $50.00 card. I signed up on their chat and screenshot the entire conversation. Not that they will actually do what was promised, but I can send  complaints to BBB and consumer protection.

I feel like they will say anything.
