Losing internet

For the past two weeks, we lose internet 10-12 times per day.  Despite numerous rebooting attempts and following the Verizon troubleshooting instructions, the problems persists.  If I call or chat with Verizon, I always end up on hold for two hours with no resolution.  Any other recommendations?
