Background: just purchased 5G home internet the better of the two options available.
Problem: download speed is maxed out at about 20mbps. This is well below the advertised minimum.
Solution: rebooting the internet Gateway device will give me 100mbps download speed for about as long as it takes to test the internet connection speed.
Problem: download speed goes right back to 20mbps the moment I attempt to use it.
The device in question is an xbox, it is wired via ethernet to the gateway device. Consistently shows 20 mbps download speeds the moment I test it after the gateway test shows 100mbps speeds.
Any possible solutions? Once I get home I will be attempting it unwired to see if the issue might be the ethernet, however I just switched and was previously getting 300mbps with Spectrum.
