How can I receive the promotional gift card as a part of signing up for the home internet plan?
As a part of enrolling for my home internet plan, I was supposed to receive a $200 Amazon Gift Card that never came - no rebate code or anything. There was a link sent via email to the Verizon account page that had no option to redeem anything at all.
I called customer service and the person on the line gave me a redemption code and after about an hour on the phone, got it entered in the rebate website. I thought that would be the end of it. A week later for 'processing' my code was not validated because it was an invalid date.
I called customer service again, this time they said I had both a $200 gift card and a $100 gift card in another hour long phone call. She said she would submit a ticket to fix the $200 one and gave me a new code for the $100 one. Nothing ever happened with any ticket, and the $100 remained as pending validation.
I called customer service once again and demanded it be escalated, but they made me sit through another hour of recounting the entire story because they had clearly not documented what was going on. At this point, a 'manager' said they would resolve the situation within the next three days and call me at 8pm CST on 8/3. I never received a call and there has been no update via email or on the validation for my promotional gift card.
At this point, I have had multiple hour-plus long phone conversations, arranged plans so I could pick up the phone when I expected a call, and continuously monitored this situation for over a month. Despite all of this, it still seems that nothing is moving forward to get this actually redeemed and sent to my email. At this point, I need to be given all the promotional gift cards I have been promised by the customer service team and reimbursed for the many hours spent trying to track something that should be much easier to redeem.
