Now on my second 5G home WiFi unit. First one was thought to be defective. Second unit is slightly larger with signal strength indicator on the bottom front, and allegedly improved. With BOTH units the service started out great, with 250 download and 20-25 upload speeds. After a couple of weeks for both units speeds became extremely variable, with downloads falling to at 10Mbps, and frequent disconnects.
Customer service folks are pleasant enough but they lack the tools to do anything to help.
My takeaway is this product should still be in R&D, and unless you are line of sight of a Verizon cell tower don’t bother with their 5G home internet.

I’m having the exact same experience. It worked great for several months and now all the sudden the Internet speed is so slow it doesn’t even support streaming video. Multiple days of troubleshooting over the phone and now on my second device (the newer one), and still running single digit download speeds. Given the fact that I work from home, I think I have no choice but to switch back to cable Internet. It’s a shame, because this was a good option in my area, but that only holds true if it works consistently.

Js221122, thank you for bringing to our attention that you're still running into trouble. As someone who also works form home I understand the importance of having a reliable connection. You mentioned you've done troubleshooting and had the device replaced, in any of that was there direction in moving the device to enhance line of sight?
