Unable to Register My 5G Home Internet to My Verizon Account

Hi everyone,
I moved to a new apartment two weeks ago and signed up for Verizon 5G Home Internet. I received the router and successfully set up the WiFi—it’s working fine. However, I have been unable to register my 5G Home Internet service to my Verizon account.
Since I was previously a Fios customer, I had to create a new Verizon account to link this 5G Home Internet service. When I log in to My Verizon and select "link a device," I can choose the option to link a 5G Home Internet device. It then gives me the choice to either "Register by phone number" or "Register by account number."
Here's where things get confusing. When I try to link my service by phone number (using the number for my modem), it tells me that this number cannot be linked.
If I try to link it by account number (I received a paper-free billing notice in my mailbox that shows my account number), I get a message saying “can not register as the account owner. " But I am the owner!
This whole process has been strange from the start. I never even received my account number via email. I only received a receipt that shows I’m a new customer along with the order number, but this hasn’t helped me link the service to my Verizon account.
Has anyone else encountered this issue, and if so, how did you resolve it? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance!
