I've been a Verizon 5G Home Internet user since it first became available in my city. Initially, the experience was stellar: both speedy and consistent. Yet, over the years, this consistency has waned.
Each year, I've encountered a stretch of weeks where my connection would frustratingly toggle between 5G and the much slower LTE, yielding speeds of about 3-4 mbps. The last few months, however, have been particularly challenging with persistent speed issues.
Despite countless calls to Verizon and numerous technician visits, the best solution they've offered is a mere swap of the Internet gateway. There's been no genuine effort to diagnose the root cause or provide a lasting fix.
Just this past week, I encountered another bout of problems. Frankly, I'm weary of contacting Verizon. Their customer service seems neither equipped nor inclined to genuinely address the issue. It feels like an exercise in futility. I'm considering switching.
