Last March we went into a Verizon store to ask about the internet while we travel. The Verizon salesperson told us a great story about Verizon internet that roams from tower to tower to give us a seamless internet experience throughout the country. He promised if we took all these steps, Signed up for the internet, and upgraded our phones, We would get a 250-dollar Target card AND a Nintendo Switch. SO the hapless suckers that we are, we purchased all Verizon's nonsense. We were told we could get our gifts in 35 days and ride off in the sunset. We walked out of that Verizon shop thinking we were valued customers. WE WERE WRONG. Fast forward 40 days later when we reach our new Florida home, the problems start. In Kissimmee Florida you barely get any internet even though towers are everywhere, We are told they do not have enough customers. So ok Then we ask about our internet and gifts. We explained to our Verizon person about the song and dance we got from the store in Spokane Washington we bought all our products from. Before we could finish our sentence she asked if the Verizon salesperson promised two gifts. As my stomach hit the floor we both said yes. She said we were lied to. She told us that Verizon salespeople are so under pressure from their bosses that they will say anything if they know you are leaving town for a big sale. With a smile, she said she could not help us and gave us a phone number to call. We called the number and the person on the line was VERY helpful. They said they would resolve our problem quickly and escalate our issue. That started my hatred for the common catchphrase Verizon uses. "ESCALATE" makes you feel warm and fuzzy and your problems will soon be solved. They promise to call you in 2 days to give you an update.... This was the start of a 5 month bad relationship. We called again 2 weeks later and the person was very confused. Nothing was saved or reported. So she said the magic words. She would "ESCALATE" the situation and personally call us in a few days to follow up. WE ARE NOW ON OUR 5th or 6th PERSON. Please somebody tell me if you are having the same issues with Verizon?????? Or is just us who are having the worst of luck? PS... I put the word B ait and S witch in the title and they would not allow that to post.
