Why does Verizon Home internet Drop below 5mbps after 5:00 EST EVERY DAY?

I am fairly new to Verizon and when the 5G became available, I bought it.

The first day seemed OK. The second day I noticed issues, but a reboot seemed to fix it.

After talking with tech support multiple times, I was told that the newer modems, the gray ones with no fan (ARC-XCI55AX) had stability issues compared to the older white modems (WNC-CR200A). It was recommended that I get a replacement and go with the white one.

I did this and had the same or more issues.

Then I "upgraded" to the business plan with a third modem (black) and I have noticed the exact same issue. After 5:00 EST on the nose, all speeds drop to below 5MBPS.

My guess is this is their way of saving bandwidth for "always on" devices and if you don't notice, then they win. If you reboot the modem though, it establishes a new connection and the speeds return. this is insanely stupid and I don't want to have to reboot my modem every morning and every night.

Please tell me why this rule is in place and how I can not have to manually be a slave to my modem for all of eternity.
