when I open a vpn, upload rate drops

Hello,

I have 5g home wifi plus plan for my home wifi. For my work, I am using globalprotect vpn service at home. However, when I connect to the vpn, the speed rates drop rapidly to the level of 1mbps from 200mbps. Could you please help or send a technical service? Otherwise I have to change the provider.
