My texts or web browsing or any apps do NOT work on this 5g um. Works fine once I'm on a Wifi network.
But why do I pay as much as I pay for a phone that doesn't work when I'm on the go???????

Sometimes it's a matter of tweaking some settings on your phone. Google brings up mostly the same thing, so I put this link in from Apple Support:

Several sources including the article above suggest turning airplane mode on and off. Can't imagine that C-band and mmWave 5G bands aren't supported on an iPhone 15 Pro Max - but if the "basic" troubleshooting doesn't work, you'll have to figure out how to dig down into the phone's software more to find how to enable the bands in question because I'm sure they're in there somewhere, they're just not turned on.
Would help if you give Verizon CS your ZIP code so they can tell you what band 5G UW is in your area. Verizon's C-band is n77 but I don't know what band the mmWave spectrum is.
I'm not a Verizon employee, just another customer trying to help.

https://www.verizon.com/support/apple-iphone-15-troubleshooting/ Please try the troubleshooting. We're sure this'll resolve your issues. There's an option for sending/receiving text messages you can select.
