Hello,
im experiencing intermittent service issues where my phone (iPhone 11, software up to date) is having issues where the phone shows it has service then when I try and make a call it loses service then shows sos and randomly shows service again. People tell me they call me but no missed calls appear and it doesnโt ring. Please advise. This happens in doors and out doors, I even purchased a cell booster and this didnโt resolve the issue.

Hello, SOSserviceissues, having reliable service is a must. Is this issue happening at a particular location? Are you seeing the SOS indicator only when trying to place a call? Does this happen every time you try to make a call?

Yes only when trying to make a call. I also got a new SIM card recently to try and fix this issue and it didnโt work. Not every time only when in certain areas, consistently the same area.

Do you have your iPhone set for automatic band selection (I think it's called "5G Auto" or some such) or "LTE" (only LTE is used), not "5G On" (only 5G is used)? If the booster you have is a Verizon network extender, it produces LTE signal and any network extender or signal booster has a limited range, so is good only inside your home. Don't know how long you've been having the service problems, but if it's always been that way for more than a few months and everywhere you go, then Verizon just isn't very good where you are and it's time to switch.
I'm not a Verizon employee, just another customer trying to help.
