I’ve been with Verizon since 2002 because they have historically had the best coverage. It used to work everywhere and my friends would have no service. Not so much now. We have 5 unlimited lines. I travel a lot so I have always had their best option for coverage and every couple years they make a higher level🤬 so for the last 5 years I’ve been frustrated but now ready to change. My phone is completely useless in JFK airport, DFW airport and ORD airport just to name a few places where it would be convenient to have service. I can’t even send a text when it says 5g and has bars. I’ve seen it say 5guw and still have no service. It does work great in downtown PHX as long as your close to the college. What is going on?

Oh, wow! We are shocked to see you are encountering coverage problems. Verizon takes pride in providing top quality service.
Let's gather more info. What exactly happens when you attempt to use your service? When did the issue start? What recent changes have you made? Who else is experiencing this problem?

I've heard of people not being able to get Verizon reception in airports in recent months. Even living close to an airport can be problematic. I've also personally had problems getting signal inside of radiology clinics, so it's something with all the X-ray and other security equipment in airports interfering with the Verizon signal, and maybe even the air traffic control tower using radio to communicate with pilots. When carriers were still using 3G and earlier wireless technology, the spectrum was different.
Airports have Wi-Fi, so you'll have to use Wi-Fi while in them. Can't speak for service issues you're having elsewhere.
I'm not a Verizon employee, just another customer trying to help.

Just landed at DFW from an international flight and had the same issue. Arranged pre pickup for Uber and couldn't even verify a pick up spot, call the driver, ANYTHING -- then get charged extra bc we went over our 45 min allotted time due to this. HUGE problem and quite honestly, no one needs to come off a 9 hour flight and deal with that kind of stress.
