I have a Galaxy S20 Ultra. At work there must have been a 5G dish installed somewhere. My phone is switching to a ONE BAR OR TWO BAR 5G signal vs a full 5 bars of 4G I have from our Verizon signal booster at work just 100ft away from me.
My phone may as well be on a 28k modem from 1994. This is infuriating.
My coworker has a Galaxy S21 from Tmobile and can switch the network to not use 5G which he's done here at work.
Verizon must have installed an "update" that disables the ability to turn off 5G from network / mobile settings.
What is the thought process behind having the network forced to a far worse barely usable signal???
I've searched for hacks and apps and there used to be one that works but it no longer does.
I've never had a solid 5G signal no matter where I go it's always picking up 1 or 2 bars and there's no way for me to force it back to 4G that I can find.
My phone and the entire Verizon network has become an exercise in frustration due to being forced to 5G.
Please advise if there's a way to turn off 5G on my S20 Ultra?
