Poor 4g and 5g service

I’m a 19 year customer…

in the past 2-3 years, the service in my area has declined dramatically. If I leave my house (I have a lte network extender) my bars goes to 2 and below sometimes none.

I’m in the Bay Area, silicon valley, high tech, in morgan hill, why is Verizon not stepping up to the plate and fixing this issue.

I called support, they checked where my tower is, it’s about 4 miles away, I believe it’s a 4g unit. I’m paying for 5g!

tech support put out  a ticket , they did originally find an issue with the closest tower because sometimes I was getting zero service. However the repair only resolved the immediate issue which was severe.

i called support again and they, support, kicked it up to 2nd level support. Tech support said I needed to go to the Verizon store to resolve.

well the Verizon store said they can’t do anything except call the network engineer, they tried and left a msg. The Verizon store also sent the msg to the network engineer to call me because I wanted to explain to him that if I leave my house, I’ll get zero or or 1 bar. For god’s sake, I live in the most technologically advanced area of the US.

the engineer never called. I called today and basically the support person said there’s not much more they can do, really!!!

so I need help, anyone have suggestions?

Has anyone with Verizon reprovisioned your account so your phone knows to use all the currently available spectrum, and if your SIM/eSIM is old, gotten you a new one?  Decreasing signal strength can also be caused by network congestion and/or deprioritization based upon the service plan you use and whether or not you are postpaid.
