I have been a verizon customer for 15+ years and rarely have trouble connecting to the network. However recently I moved to Santa Clarita, CA and frequently experience dead spots. This blackouts occur in Valencia and Saugus for my phone. Apps and texting are unusable in these areas as well as dropped calls mid conversation.
Below is a link to the communities thoughts on best cell coverage. As well as some specific locations such as target shopping plaza and Copperhill/Haskell.

Please take the time to increase coverage in the Santa Clarita Valley. Upwards of 200,000 people live here. I do not want to have to switch providers but I may have no choice to feel safe on the road and in these neighborhoods.

Hi, sorry to hear you're having service issues in your new neighborhood. I looked at the coverage map and it appears to be a 4G area in many places, so 5G may be spotty. There is also a river in the vicinity - if you are close to it, that may be blocking your reception. I don't live there, but based upon the comments in the Reddit thread you linked, it's a hilly area. In any mountainous area, every carrier is going to have dead spots just because the hills/mountains are in the way.
If you are able to switch the network band to LTE on your phone, try that to see if it helps.
I'm not a Verizon employee, just another customer trying to help.

Same here in Valencia, 91354. Terrible signal and continuous cutting off calls and call fails. I could not continued any phone calls today. I’ve lived here over 3 years, it worked well with no issue, but it has been extremely bad since this month! I have no idea what’s going on.
