Verizon service in Lexington, Kentucky - especially around the Hamburg area - is absolutely terrible. I'm debating switching providers. I pay A LOT of money to Verizon and when I'm in Lexington the speeds are worse than 24Kbps days of dial up Internet.

I drop a lot of calls , or while I am in the middle of conversation there will be what seems like packet loss because I will lose whole bits of conversation. On the Data side, there have been times it takes maybe 5 minutes to load a news site, a google search, or attempt to order a pizza. My zip is 40337

Thank you for that information. What kind of signal does your device show when having these issues? What troubleshooting have you tried to fix the issue? ~Peter

Service in the entire central Kentucky area is terrible! It is literally nonexistent in the city of Paris KY which I frequently visit, zip code 40361. My home zip code is 40503 and service is typically awful there on a daily basis as well. Today I'm not able to do any streaming content, including iHeartRadio, SiriusXM, Hulu, etc. Today I have mostly been in the Georgetown KY area zip code 40324, however noticed this issue in Lexington prior to coming to Georgetown. My ios is up to date and I have restarted my phone.

I'll often have only one or maybe two bars when the service degradation starts.
As for troubleshooting, I have tried resetting the network, throttling back to LTE versus 5G, and rebooting the phone. The issues persists across all of these troubleshooting attempts. I suspect the issue is because of overloaded circuits - meaning the issue on Verizon's side rather than the User's side...
In essence, a word of caution to anyone considering Verizon for cellular service in central Kentucky.

I’m I. the exact same boat. I’m in Hamburg 40509 zip code just past Costco. Never get 5G service. 1 bar only and then on and off LTE. Doesn’t matter where I am including outside it’s horrendous. Also drop tons of calls. Meanwhile my work phone which is through AT&T… always at 5G with plenty of speed. Can even run as a hotspot and works great. I’m probably going to have to switch as Verizon coverage isn’t improving on this side of Lexington.

Hello, Macmittenz, I'm sorry to hear you're running into an issue with service in your area. How long has this been happening? What model phone are you currently using? Are other Verizon users in your area experiencing a similar issue?
