Signal Strength

My signal to my phone at my home is horrible. I'm less than 6 miles from the Verizon store and I'm in a supposedly covered area. Most of the time I have to use my Wi-Fi to use my phone. The signal in my home is weak to none. In other areas I frequent, it's the same.
I got Verizon because it's supposed to work in most places. I'm finding it doesn't and I'm paying an expensive bill for nothing. Now I'm stuck paying for a phone I really didn't want in the first place and stuck in a contact with a horrible service.

What's the make/model of your phone? If it's an iPhone you could try changing the band selection to LTE to see if that improves things. I'm also wondering if Verizon needs to do some tinkering on their end (your account might not have been set up quite right and needs to be reprovisioned) to improve your service because you shouldn't be in a dead zone everywhere you go.
I'm not a Verizon employee, just another customer trying to help.

I know how important having coverage where you need it is, AbbieNormal74. I am here to help. I do want to be transparent with you, that there are a number of factors outside of our control that impact indoor coverage. It is because of these reasons that we cannot guarantee coverage indoors, and offer Wi-Fi calling at no cost, as it is the best solution when there is coverage issues indoors.
I wanted to gather some additional details regarding your concern. Outside of your home, is this primarily happening indoors, outside, or both? What specific services aren't working (calls/text/data)? Can you share the cross-streets and city where you're having these issues most frequently?

Half of my calls don't go through on Wi-Fi calling when I'm inside. A few of the places I frequent, it doesn't work outside. It's not the phone.
I don't see the point in paying y'all so much money when it doesn't work like it's supposed to half of the time. I'm switching carriers to a cheaper pay as you go one. When I had that before I didn't have a lot of problems and I didn't pay a ridiculous amount of money.
Y'all are a rip off!!!
