Can I use the Broadband Router to create a wired connection to my DISH Receiver?

Recently purchased and installed a broadband router after numerous discussions with Tech Support II. Intent is to replace my existing ISP with line of sight issues. Was advised that I should be able to use the Ethernet connection from my DISH receiver to the router to be able to download Pay-per-View and Video on Demand events. Have not been able to get either the receiver or the router to recognize the wired connection. Is this actually possible? Or did I just waste the time/money to try and get this device to work?

If you do get this to work, I hope you have the 100 GB plan or more if you plan on using VOD.  Doing what you want through cellular is opening you up to huge Bills.  1 movie could easily be 4 to 9 GB.
