I did a phone upgrade, and the phone is being charged out over 24 months at $26 per month, for a total of $624.
The salesman "Ricky" threw in 2 "free" Canary units.
My credit card now has the upgrade charge, and a charge for the Canary items (less the amount for the old phone), which is still $200+
I tried to talk to "Ricky" and was told the $200 was a charge for the phone. If I wanted to return the Canary items, I would have to pay for the phone in full, now. The $26 per month charge, though it is listed as paying for the phone, evidently isn't. "Ricky" stepped off the floor so that he could tell me off without witnesses.
What I don't understand is how "Ricky" can justify the 2nd charge (for the phone - the Canary units are free!) when it is clear I am paying for the phone in my monthly bill! Did the phone, listed at about $600 cost me $1200?
No, the bill shows that the units are being charged. I have not even installed them yet (got them home late last night). The sales person made some claim of they had to have a bill, because they couldn't just let the units go out the door. The charge is also now posted to my credit card, in addition to the OTHER charge for changing out my phone.
