I have the latest version of GizmoHub on my iPhone X. When I try to pair the watch with the phone it sits on this screen for 2-5 minutes:
- Rebooting both phone and watch
- Switch to LTE and 4G on my phone to try and activate
- Deleting the app and reinstalling
- I tried waiting (maybe the servers were down). It's 48 hours and no different.
Hi! We are having the same issue. We bought this gadget for my son on Friday and 2 iphones will not connect to it. My MIL was able to set up as the primary on her Samsung though. We have added our phone numbers through her app, so he can call us but thats it. It is VERY frustrating that this app will not connect. Waste of money.
I have the same problem. After a very long tech support chat, they sent me a replacement Gizmo. I was able to activate it but it still won't pair with the app on my phone. Eventually my mom tried to download the app on her phone but it wouldn't pair with hers either. I'm told by the Verizon store near my house that I most likely won't get a refund for my $150 paperweight. I am NOT happy.
We thankfully only paid $50 for this gadget. We can call him and he can
call us and that is it. Do you have a provider other than Verizon? My
MIL got an answer that with the last update in late August, the link is
broken. Anyone outside of Verizon cannot link a Gadget and supposedly they
are working on getting this fixed.

I actually got ours to work! After several failed attempts at tech support, I find someone aware of the situation. If you have an Android phone, you can download the beta test update of the app and now it works! (In the Google Play store, find Gizmo Hub, scroll all the way to the bottom and select, request to join Beta Group.) Good luck!
The Verizon tech said he doesn't know if they have released the beta to iPhone but that eventually the update would roll out to everyone.
From what I've read about the Beta, all of the phones running GizmoHub app will have to be updated to the latest app (not just the primary caregiver). And it seems to be a one-way thing so you can't go back to the old version of the App if it doesn't work.
