Hum Device

We got the hum device with my phone in a bundle, we were not told it would cost us monthly. We tried to use the hum device and it did not work, people at versizon store said they couldn’t help us and to call hum corporation. We are not using this hum device, we don’t want to go through the trouble of trying to use it with the hum corporation. This device is going to be charged monthly on our bill until 2019, but we do not use it. Can this be changed, We don’t want it nor do we think we should pay for a device we can’t use nor want?
