I was gifted a Samsung gear s2 smartwatch.  However, it was originally owned by a T-Mobile user.  Can I still use it on my Samsung S5, with Verizon service?  Also, they still have all their apps, pictures and messages on the phone.  Should I reset the device?  If so, how do I do that?

Those are great questions, SHABETO. Smart device such as this, are not always compatible with another provider. You can be sure by checking compatibility by following this link, https://www.verizonwireless.com/bring-your-own-device/. As for a reset, you can find instructions on how to do that by following this link, https://www.verizonwireless.com/support/knowledge-base-200160/.

You can't use it directly on a Verizon Wireless service because the device doesn't support the Verizon Wireless network. You could get a new SIM card from T-Mobile and plan to activate it on T-Mobile.

You should reset the device to set it up for you not the previous owner.

I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.
