I understand what you are saying I haven't messed with the weightlifting
part yet. I'm not big into weightlifting. I think I have seen a few
youtube videos about the weightlifting part of the watch and some people
have liked it. I could be totally wrong about that. I think it was
the Apple more people were complaining about when it came to watches. The
parts I have dove into I have liked more each time I play with it. I'd
like to fully dive into but I don't have time.
Yeah I weight lift, run, bike, and like to log everything. The Garmin has
weights mode that has heart rate zones and is easy to see during the
workout which you can't do with gear s3. And can't swim with it either. But
like I said it's a great smart watch. I'm glad you like it.
Yes, it makes perfect sense now why Verizon would not give any information about the release of the Samsung Gear S3 smartwatch. They have exclusive rights to release another smartwatch called Wear 24 Verizon’s new Watch24 is one of the first to run Android Wear 2.0 .
I am so glad i didn't wait for Verizon and purchased the Samsung S3 Frontier LTE in December with T-mobile. Speaking of T-mobile, according to the latest speed test, they now have the same speed as Verizon. However, Verizon leads slightly in LTE availability less than 2% difference. AT&T and Sprint are in 3rd and 4th place Verizon has lost its only advantage over T-Mobile .
All this 1% and 2% people are touting is useless information for most
people. I've had TMobile, ATT, and Verizon. I live in Orange County
california. I'd say it's populated. Both TMobile and ATT do not work at my
work and at my school. I can't speak for sprint since I haven't had them
for years. Verizon works everywhere. Especially up in the mountains where
every other carrier is useless.

I was a loyal Verizon customer for decades. However, I am taken aback by them intentionally lying about carrying the Samsung S3 for months based on their recently announced exclusive release of another smartwatch. Months ago, I only went to T-mobile for the S3 because Verizon chose not to allow their customers to make their product decisions. As such, I haven't experience the problems with T-mobile service as some of you claim you have. And, based on the recent study, apparently T-mobile has made some significant improvements and continue to do so. I am willing to give T-mobile more of my business when my current Verizon contract expires this year. I will risk a few dropped calls with T-mobile and a lower bill instead of being taken for granted and constantly lied too.
I am glad that T-Mobile works for you but I have had them recently before
switching to Verizon and it was non existent in my work building, school
building, and spotty at home. The 3 places I frequent around OC and Los
Angeles are horrible. Also, the recent study is not really helpful when you
take into account the fact that they base "availability" on amount of time
a customer has service throughout the day. This is an inaccurate depiction
of coverage because, if someone has horrible coverage with a company,
likely they have to switch to a company that is covered in their area. This
is a flawed way to calculate availability. The old way which was figuring
out which households were covered is better because it actually takes
location into account. That is a more accurate estimation and Verizon kills
it because they are truly almost everywhere. Like I said, I am glad your
T-Mobile coverage is good, but I will never sacrifice coverage for saving
10 bucks a month, especially if 66% of the places I usually am every day
have absolutely no coverage with T-Mobile (or ATT).
Its sad to think that it has almost been 3 months since the gear s3 was released. Its to the point where its not even gonna make first quarters release. There has been almost no updates or romors of when it will be released so I would guess late spring is probably the next best time frame which really sucks because at that point the watch will have been out for close to 6 months. The delay and lack of info is beyond upsetting now. I figured mid February was plenty of time to get the approvals that where needed that people be said is holding it back but apparently not
I wouldn't hold my breathe if i was you on Verizon ever releasing the Samsung S3 Gear. They announced this week releasing another smartwatch, exclusive to them either this month or next. I don't think they ever had any intentions of selling the Samsung S3. They lied and kept us on hold until their smartwatch was ready for release, thinking we would purchase it.
It appears that the Verizon Wear24 has many if not all of the S3 features and will be released by Verizon instead of the S3. Does anyone have more detailed and specific information regarding comparable features?
