The comments about any of these watches being "an ugly watch" are absurd. If you want to make a style statement with the beauty of your watch then buy a Rolex or a Cartier for $10,000 and don't waste your time in this specific forum. The watches we're talking about here have telephones, GPS, mp3 and music players, along with full blown computing capability all built in as well as sophisticated input capability for the human hand and voice. Considering their capabilities I think they look great and are priced very reasonably.
I think that the leader of the pack is now the LG Watch Sport model. I just talked to Verizon tele-sales and it won't actually be available until March 16 both in their stores and on the internet. Any orders placed prior to that are merely PREorders - no actual watch until 3/16. Oh, yes and still no word on the Gear S3.
With it LTE only, it does limit the locations where you can access the network on the watch to area where the LTE is located. If you are in an area with 3G or 1xRTT only then the device won't work.
I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.
I could almost cry. I finally broke down and got the T-Mobile version. works great, love the S Pay..but it costs a fortune. 400 for the watch and 20 dollar activation fee, and 15/mo for 500mb plan. Finally there is movement on the hope that the watch will be available. I have 9 days left before I can return, but for an additional fee of 70 bucks! I think Verizon hates me and will intentionally announce release in 10 days...
I got mine at T-mobile too couldn't wait for Verizon any longer. I noticed on Samsung.com you can get the smartwatch LTE T-mobile for $50 less. The One plan with T-mobile for devices is unlimited talk, text and data, however the data speed is reduced. Plus, if you purchase the smartwatch from T-mobile you can pay for it on installment plan of 24 months interest free. I think you can get it on installment plan on Samsung.com for six months if you use the PayPal plan.
I waiting to see when Verizon offer it and at what price. I doubt it will be an installment plan, probably a discount if you agree to a 2 year contract, like the new pre-ordered LG Watch Sport...
