Is the $200 switching rebate "locked-in" when I order the phone, or not till I activate and port?

I would like to take advantage of the $200 rebate for switching with a new Verizon iPhone, but I'm not sure how the timing works with regard to port-in. I would like to order the new iPhone now to take advantage of the current deals, but not actually do the port till April 25th, because I would like my daughter to be able to use her old phone on an upcoming trip to Europe with my current carrier (much cheaper international roaming).

Is the $200 rebate offer locked in when I order the iPhone and then I have 30 days to activate and port, or do I need to do the port while the rebate is still active? Or, is the new Verizon iPhone shipped already activated and ported?

I suppose an alternative would be for me to simply do the port in the US as soon as the new iPhone arrives, then my daughter can use her old iPhone with a European SIM.

Thank you for any information or guidance.

The port will need to be completed within the promotion time frame for you to qualify for the rebate, so completing your port in while the offer is available would be the best route to go! Let us know if this information helps! *Kiana

Thank you! A follow-up question: When I order the phone online, will I need the porting PIN  to place the order, or not till I get the phone and turn it on? I would be porting from Spectrum.

It would be best to have that Port PIN ready when you start the order!
