Ok heres the scenario: Last year, I started to lease to own a truck through the company i drive for .(truck driver - owner operator basically) I just recently got my EIN to build my business credit even though I have three years left on my lease before ill own it. Anyways, the thing is, is that i want to move towards establishing myself as my own personal trucking company. My question is would it be beneficial for me to go ahead and switch over to a commercial account from a personal one or maybe it would be better to wait. Currently, all my business related items all go through the company i work for they take it out of my settlement check every week that being fuel costs, insurance, maintenance and including booking my loads for me. Later on, i should be able to run under my own authority and taking care of all these items for myself and my company, including dealing with brokers to get my own loads. Basically, Im wondering if it would be better to wait or is this something that i should check off my lists of to dos and deal with it now?
