I've tried linking this account for over a month. I keep getting errors with the online chat on both the app and online. I can pay (and did) for another month of service but can't check my account services at all. I have finally had enough and decided to switch services. Now I can't do anything because I can't get into my account to get my account number so I can keep my current phone number. Called Verizon and set up a chat on my phone. I been waiting for 20 minutes now. Frustrating to say the least. Might just change my number and be done with all of this.

@Servob2 , you mentioned "paying for another month" which makes me think you're prepaid. If you are wanting a transfer PIN to switch carriers, you must go to a Verizon store to request the PIN, because prepaid customers can't generate a transfer PIN themselves via the app or the PC My Verizon login. I've tried, and a former Verizon employee at the other place I switched to briefly told me this. (Probably shouldn't have bothered because the other place turned out to be a disaster, but that's another tale.)
@King099 , are you getting a message anytime you login to My Verizon saying something like "You'll get the full Account Owner experience when your device/line/whatever is activated"? If so, you got a guest account instead of a "real" one and guest accounts can't have anything linked to them. Try making a new account as if you'd never done it before. If that doesn't work, someone at Verizon will have to delete your guest account and then you can start over.
I'm not a Verizon employee, just another customer trying to help.
