I added a new line and I’m trying to change the phone number to a new one rather than the one Verizon assigned. When I go through the whole process, it saying that it can’t do it because I have no devices that are eligible to send an authorization code to. The lines are up and running for talk and text. I’ve received authorization text before and my number was properly and official transferred because I received a confirmation text. Not sure what to do.

Hello, Jriversong. Help is here. Please tell me more as I see many stated they were having issues with changing their number. Is this the same issue you are having? Does the error message state it is not eligible for authorization or something else?

It is always important to be able to manage your account. Have you made any changes to your line, or did you recently open the line?

Exactly the same issue and now it won’t let me try anymore. Literally got the new phones today and I really hate the assigned number. But, even after my husband completely set up his it won’t let me.

Kesweatt, we're sorry about the issues with the authorization. When a change is made to a line such as a device change or when it's set up for the first time, authentication is limited. Please try again in 7 days.
~Jesse
