Moving people from one account to another

I called Verizon today to move 7 people from one account to another.  Simply wanted to move it because the owner of the account lives in another state and it is getting harder to trade phones and manage account.  I was told we would lose all our promo and trade-in credits if we simply move from one account to another.  They would rather we go to another company then give us the credits they offered us in the first place.  There is no clear reason for this.  The bill does not change on Verizon's side.  My son just traded in his 2 year old phone for a new one so basically they will be keeping his phone and his credit.  What is wrong with this picture??  The customer service person did everything he could to make it work for me but just Verizon policy.   I appreciate that very much but him and his Supervisor's hands were tied.

With the Account Owner's permission, you could consider adding one or more Account Managers.
