My experience moving to Verizon

So finally decided to make a family plan with my wife and in laws.  We all have different carriers so decided to move to a common carrier and chose Verizon. Let me tell you the worst ever decision made.
The worst poor customer experience. To begin with Verizon doesn’t care about customers they would rather not help you than fix an issue. I placed an order to port 7 lines. The order got placed but cancelled by fraud department. I called fraud department to check what’s the reason for cancellation but they wouldn’t give an answer for security and privacy reasons when they literally verified my social, address and lines. I mean this is a joke you don’t verify someone and say we can’t give a reason why we cancelled the order.

Then me and my wife went to store to see if they could help us the poor sales guy spent 1 hour on the phone to get different departments to look at the order and finally got a supervisor to review the order and they asked to resubmit the address proof(we submitted the same image of my address proof I submitted earlier ) this time the supervisor approved it.

I mean this is a complete joke and their fraud department doesn’t actually capture the fraud people rather gives headache to real  people.

so finally the order goes through devices gets shipped. When I activated my line the port failed. So I called the porting team they helped to update the pins which is fine. But as soon as port confirmed my lines went into suspension.

The porting team saw that the suspension  was put by billing team. So we call billing team and they look at it transfers to fraud as they thought it was fraud team blocking it. Here’s to a 2 hours phone call which is night mare to any customer. Fraud team says it’s with billing I mean this is my day one I just got device how the heck my bill would be a problem I never been a Verizon customer in my life.

well round 3 billing says it’s port well round 4 porting this time hangs with me to call financial services team and round 5 they transfer to sales customer service team round 6 they say it’s back to billing round 7 finally a lady who know something said it’s definitely fraud. Round 8 fraud department finally looks at it and had no reason why they suspended the line. After 2 hours of call fraud team reactivated them. In the beginning of the call we had a fraud dept person said it wasn’t fraud and sent me back in a 2 hour round robin. Clearly they don’t know what they are dealing with.

And the fraud team said they put it for extra verification joke they literally asked my last 4 digit of social  and reactivated it. When you already cleared an order getting all the required info and did extra verification already have given a customer head ache then had no reason to suspend all the lines. Clearly made my evening worst  and worst experience of life. Clearly not staying with Verizon longer. If I had an opportunity to move to different carrier I would. Escalated to a supervisor to look at my experience so that they can at least not repeat it  to any other customer.

Almost verbatim, this same exact experience happened to me. 7 lines - fraud - back and forth between sales, port, fraud, customer service, fraud, customer service… and now it is STILL marked as fraud and they want $1200 for devices I got with the promotion for FREE. And this is only the first bill…. I still have no idea if my monthly bill is going to be $1200 or what because I’ve still not seen a breakdown of my bill. No one calls back and every time I call in its back to square one. I tried to return everything but they were going to charge me several hundred for restocking fees so I didn’t. Now it’s too late to return them and I wish I had.  I don’t see any end and I’m just waiting until I can buy my devices outright and move carriers. I’m bummed that I’m not an anomaly but this is happening almost exactly to others too.
