New phone 2 factor not working

We recently upgraded our phones, switching from Samsung to Google Pixel. After the switch I couldn't log on to verizon.com using my computer. Called tech support and tried everything they recommended to no avail and while they were writing up a ticket to escalate I had an epiphany . I turned off 2-factor authentication and was able to log in on the computer. Told the tech who told me verizon turns off 2-factor on other devices for 30 days. I can't find any reference to that anywhere. Does anybody know why 2-factor would work on my new phone but not on my computer? Is there a 30 day lockout? Any help would be appreciated. Meanwhile I'm waiting 30 days and will try enabling.
