No access to my verizon

I cannot access Verizon online account with message "Your My Verizon online account was created successfully.
You’ll get the full Account Owner experience after you activate your device. "

Tried to use phone number to login, but got  "The User ID/Verizon mobile number or ZIP code doesn't match our records. Please try again."

 

Please help to resolve the problem

If you cannot register your phone number and your line(s) are active, then send a private message to @vzw_customer_support either by using the envelope icon at the top right, or click on the forum avatar by one of the CS reps' posts and then the "send message" button in the popup.

It helps to wait until your service is up and running before creating your My Verizon account.  Otherwise you might end up with a guest access account only and then someone at Verizon has to de-register your account before you can sign back up for a "real" one.

This just happened to me. I didn't know the trick you described and now I can't get access. Unfortunately I can't get anyone on the phone at the moment. Really annoying start to the Verizon relationship. 😑

@d303, I'm assuming your service is now up and running.  What happens if you try creating a new account again, using the phone number, as if you'd never done it before?  If that doesn't work, then you will have to contact Verizon to get them to de-register your guest account so you can get an actual one.

There was some kind of phone outage at Verizon yesterday, but the message saying so is now gone from the forums, so I'd try again if you need to call them.  Also, your post is time stamped for the middle of the night in my time zone at least - I'm pretty sure live chat and other CS functions are closed after 7pm in some US time zone, but not sure which one.

P.S. - If the only Verizon service you have is the 4G or 5G Home Internet which uses the internet cube, you have to register the My Verizon account using the "phone number" assigned to the internet cube, not your actual phone number.

Hi d303. We know how important it is to access and manage your account on My Verizon 24/7. It is frustrating when it is not working as expected. Have you been able to access since posting? What happens when you try to log in? Is this on the Web or App?

I am having the same issue. I had to take back the original phone due to it being defective and all it shows is that I picked up that phone that has now been returned. I have since activated a new phone and nothing will show up.

I did not buy a new device, it is same device but transferred to verizon as new phone carrier

Asked a million questions in store because I was afraid of this and I got the typical “You’re too worried, follow the prompts and you’ll be fine”. Now I have service on the new phone (brand new account) but I cannot log in and Activate my account. I keep getting the same  "Your My Verizon online account was created successfully. You’ll get the full Account Owner experience after you activate your device” message. 

 

When I call the help line the Interactive Voice Recording (IVR) system tells me my device is now active; goodbye. Or something like that. I shouldn’t be having these issues and am fully ready to go in tomorrow and just cancel the whole thing and go to literally any other carrier. This is day three of devoting days to trying to get these phones and a new plan, honestly it may have been worth it to spend money with the other guys.

 

Any attempt at trouble shooting through chat/text/call makes me attempt to log in and it either gives me the same "Your My Verizon online account was created successfully. You’ll get the full Account Owner experience after you activate your device. " or the system is down and I cannot be helped further. No one seems to be able to do anything for me nor can I speak to a real human I just get chat bots and IVR systems.

 

If I can’t activate this account in the next day I see no future here.

@Ellehoh, you ended up with a guest account instead of a "real" one.  It probably happened because you signed up on My Verizon before your lines were active.  What happens if you go to the login page and try to create a completely new account as if you'd never had one ever using your phone number?  If the system won't let you, then someone at Verizon needs to delete the guest account, and then you should be able to register properly.

If you need more help and can't get through the automated phone system, send a private message (it's the envelope icon at the top right and works like email from there) with the subject line "deactivate guest My Verizon account" to @vzw_customer_support .

I am also experiencing this same issue. I registered before I received my devices, and, even though I activated them some time ago, I still only have a guest account.
