Unable to link services

On 9/19/2025 I purchased a Wireless Home Phone LVP2 device. I was able to set up the device and it activated automatically.
The problem is that I am unable to link the associated phone number to my Verizon account/login.
I have an existing email address registered, but it does not have any existing services attacked/linked to it. I am able to go through the entire linking/authentication process (phone number, pin, zip code, email to authenticate), but at the end I receive an error.
I have contacted customer service and they have been no help at all (sending various emails/activation links that all ultimately result in the same error) or they want to send me a paper bill with my account number so that I can try to link with that instead.
They refuse to delete/unregister my current account/email address so I can attempt to register completely fresh.
I am at my wits end regarding this. I just had to pay a past due amount (from 10/10) over the phone because I have no access to my billing or account information online. I just received an email from Verizon stating since my account hasn't been registered for this line that I am going to be switch to paper billing, which I don't want.
Can somebody PLEASE fix this?!

If you signed up on My Verizon using an email address, then what you have is a guest account. Despite any messages implying otherwise, nothing can be linked to a guest account. What happens if you try to make a new account with the create new account link in the My Verizon login page on a computer, or if you use this alternate link for registering on My Verizon:
https://secure.verizon.com/accessmanager/public/c/reg/start
I am not sure if part of the problem is that with a landline service, perhaps you need to register with the User ID associated with the account and not the phone number? If you don't know your User ID for the account (it is not necessarily the same as your forum username), try this link:
https://secure.verizon.com/account/forgot-user-id/start

This was awesome. I was able to register using the alternate link.
What took you minutes to post and me to successfully act on was something customer support was unable to do over the course of 3 frustrating weeks.
Thank you.

Yay! I'm glad the alternate link worked! And you're most welcome. 😁
