I need to reactivate an old phone number (ending in 0070) that I recently deactivated. The issue is that the number was tied to a SIM card I no longer have. I spent 3 hours with a Verizon rep trying to add it as a second eSIM to my current phone (ending in 9417) and exploring other options, but nothing worked. Their only solution was to open a new line with a new phone, which I donโt want to do.
This number is linked to a business account with two-step verification, and I canโt access the account without it. While I updated other account details before deactivating the line, I forgot to update the phone number for sign-in.

I'm assuming you disconnected the line less than 45 days ago, so the number hasn't gone up for recycling yet. If you have a direct contact person with Verizon who is handling your business account, contact them tomorrow morning (it is Sunday as I write, and the agents who answer threads on the forums also aren't here on Sundays, never mind they can't access business accounts). Otherwise, keep trying with calling Business Support. From what I can tell, some reps are better at problem solving than others.
For personal accounts, a recently disconnected account goes into some kind of holding bin purgatory for some time just in case the customer decides to come back to Verizon quickly - then it's supposed to be processed as a "winback" where the old account is reinstated with everything where it was left off. Don't know if business accounts are the same way, but it doesn't hurt to ask. Not all agents know how to process a "winback" correctly, which could have been the reason why the first person was going around in circles?
I'm not a Verizon employee, just another customer trying to help.

I can certainly understand the situation you are in TickGuy regarding getting your line reactivated on your business account. We do not provide support for business accounts in this platform. I am sending you a private message, so we can get you in contact with our business team.
