Been with Verizon for over 7 years. we have two iphone 6S phones which we are upgrading this week. When I go into our Verizon account to look at our plan, one phone shows as non registered. What does that mean and how do I fix it?

Hello, before anything, thanks for your 7 years of loyalty to the company, we truly appreciate your business. We know the importance of managing your My Verizon account. We want to clear things up.
Keep in mind that the "non-registered" notifications appears under the device that has not registered for a My Verizon account.
Hope this information helped.

@TLBB, I'm assuming the 2 phones are under 1 account only because it's cheaper that way. Meaning, when whomever logs into My Verizon to view the bill, account details, etc. both phones show up in that account? When both phones are linked to one account only, the second phone is "not registered" because that line is not under a separate login.
I'm not a Verizon employee, just another customer trying to help.
