Asus RT-AC68U router and MiFi U620L

I have the Asus RT-AC68U and just upgraded to the MiFi U620L modem. I am having problems getting the router to use it as the modem. Has anyone else run into this problem? Support at ASUS has been less than helpful.

Are you using the latest firmware 378.9313?

Version 378.4585 and prior versions are less likely to work.

Communicate with Asus through Feedback (Admin page?).

Did you have any luck at all getting the U620L to work with the RT-ac68?

I'm in the market to switch from the 551L modem that I currently have been using 2 years on an unlimited plan. I had issues with some of the router firmware actually causing my 551L to get stuck in 3G mode, only getting 4G back when flashing the current firmware back onto the 551L from novatel. Right now I'm using a cradlepoint mbr1200 as a bridge into the ac68 as the cradle point handles the card better.
