No. But if your devices are Wi-Fi calling capable you can do activate that on your devices and use that feature through the LTE connected. What kind of phone do you have?

VizslaDog, the Network Extender enhances indoor calling and 3G data coverage to provide better service for your Verizon Wireless mobile device. It's an extension of our network placed directly in your house or small business office. We would love see you take advantage of this great device. However, you will need a broadband or DSL connection from an Internet Service Provider to support this device. Is your modem/router active on our landline service?

or DSL connections (from Verizon or another Internet service provider).

Please read the question. I am not asking about purchasing an additional

(new) piece of equipment.

My question is about using my existing Verizon LTE (wireless) router as a

network extender.

After reading the FAQ's on wifi and checking my note4 it appears it will.

My concern is using up the metered bandwidth on the LTE router.

If I can't get good reception on my phone while in the house and have to

use the bandwidth from my plan, maybe I just need to find another provider.

VizslaDog I apologize your question was not answered the first time around. You can definitely use your Router but you need to have 4GLTE signal in order to use it. If that is the case then yes you can use the router. If you don't receive 4GLTE signal inside it will not work. _VZW

And will it use my bandwidth on the plan?

It should not use a tremendous amount. I would test it for a day or so and see how it works, track the data usage, your network performance. It is a feature you can disable at any time.
