Can you use a signal booster with a Smart Hub?

I'm moving to a rural area with poor cell coverage and no internet providers.  In researching options beyond satellite internet (which I hear is expensive and slow), I was told a hot spot would be an option.  However, there are only a few areas on our property where we can get 1-2 bars and that is it.  A local WISP does not reach us.  I'm wondering if I got a signal booster, if that would work with the verizon Smart Hub or if anyone has experience with another option (i.e. 4G LTE router?)  TYIA

Having access to reliable internet service is crucial in this day and age, and we will gladly get you information to make the best decision for you.  Since you stated you are in a rural area, one of the first things you will need to check is coverage availability, see here http://vz.to/2tdQoWr. Next here is a link to the smart hub compatible devices https://www.verizonwireless.com/support/smarthub-compatible-devices/ Sadly, I do not show  signal boosters  listed. Here is another link that will provide you with more FAQs on the smart hub https://www.verizonwireless.com/support/smarthub-faqs/. If you need to start new services, please reach out to our sales team for assistance at 800-225-5499 Mon-Fri 7:00 AM - 11:00 PM ET Sat 8:00 AM - 9:00 PM ET Sun 9:00 AM - 8:00 PM ET.

Short answer is no.

I have a smart hub, a surecall signal booster (Verizon bandwidth) with a yagi directional antenna, and three iPhones.  Only the iPhones "see" the signal booster. After hours tracking down a qualified technician at Verizon, I learned that the smart hub ONLY talks to a Verizon tower. It will NOT utilize a signal booster or signal repeater.

I've tried everything.  Spotty at best.  However, my problem is that I'm so rural and next to the Canadian border there is not much more I can do.  Thank goodness for the unlimited plan on my smartphone.   I wish there was a spot for an external antenna on the smart hub.
