My MIL is using the 5510 for her connection at home. New MG2920 printer is google print enabled, but it can't connect to the jetpack. In order to set it up, it needs to connect to the network - but in order to connect, it needs to be configured with her password. Catch 22. Can't get on the network to get to the configuration. Anyone succeed here yet? No, she doesn't have another device, and she's using a chromebook, so you can't install the printer driver & just hook it up via USB. We set it up at our house over our wifi easily - our belkin router has a 'listen/sync' button, and so does the printer - so they'll make the initial connection to allow the IP to be set & the printer reached via browser. No such button on the jetpack. I'm not buying the $200 printer that has a screen with the config options to hook to a $199 chromebook. She just wants to print her recipes.
Connect the printer by wire (USB or Ethernet) and manually configure the printer’s wireless adapter for the target Wi-Fi network (SSID and Wi-Fi Password). You really need a computer to make sure you have network connectivity between the printer and Jetpack before trying to rely on web printing services to test the printer. Call Canon, they pay people to get their printers working with their customer’s computers and make sure you have the Jetpack’s SSID and Wi-Fi Password handy when you call.
