Anyone else experiencing issues with Data being reported on days you don't even have anything running ( my devices are MacBook and iPad) which go with me where I go . If I'm not home for week then 0 data should be reported. Verizon states average household mobile user uses about 1-2 Gbs month , yet with Cantenna that happens on its own causing me to exceed my plan of 30gbs( largest plan) within the first week. On days that I do use it I use very little data according to the utilization page which is supposed to help manage our data( inaccurate inaccurate inaccurate). I have to rely on my mobile hotspot for home internet when I need it( 40gbs) which I share with one other device. We DO NOT stream movies , play online games or do anything the "Average household" mobile user does because of the data caps. 70gbs a month and usually some overages since we burn it so quickly ( how ? No clue). My data usage has actually decreased since adding the Cantenna yet I'm going from never exceeding or going over my 40 mobile shared data to now using 30gb more with days. Please tell me I am not the only one experiencing. Verizon has not once followed up with me on my issue, even after hours and hours of calls. It's frustrating and I don't have time Verizon!

It's a misused term that morphed its way to mean the metal can here:
"LTE Internet (Installed)" formerly known as Home Fusion.
This is the classic definition long before Home Fusion came along.
Ham radio operators likely coined the term ~50 years ago.
Now in 2019 this has been a problem for us for at least 3 years. Only way I can preserve our "data usage" is to unplug the cantenna. We don't do any online gaming, we don't stream movies, and we aren't heavy data users, yet miraculously if I leave the wifi plugged up overnight, our data slowly vanishes.
Often our data was disappearing at night when none of our devices were on, and only unplugging the wifi stopped the issue. This is ridiculous. Customer service was no help at all.
So sorry to hear about the concerns over managing your data usage, MariPs343. Keeping your data in check is of utmost concern and I'm happy to help. First, have you checked out our tools for monitoring your usage? If not, check out our tools here: http://spr.ly/660118zCh The Data Utilization Tool that is referenced may be of particular interest as it may provide more insight into what types of data are being used. How many devices are connected to the Cantenna and what types of devices do you have linked up?
The cantenna is leaching data overnight when all our devices are off. If I unplug the cantenna, our data usage overnight is 0. With cantenna plugged in all night and devices off, 2 to 4 GB will be used. Something is wrong with your equipment.
Stop acting as if you have never heard of this or that it is something the customer is doing.
